Diaper Drive for SafeHome

September 28-29

SFX is participating in a national diaper drive for SafeHome, a domestic violence agency in Johnson County that hosts a number of tools for the community. SafeHome has a 24-hour hotline for victims, families, and hospitals. The shelter has free counselors and therapists for residents, prior residents, and children. They have a 24-hour healthcare advocate program that goes to emergency rooms to talk to victims about their options and safety planning. SafeHome also employs a full-time attorney to work with survivors free of charge on things like custody disputes, filing restraining orders, etc. Through these programs, SafeHome supports approximately 8,000 individuals each year. Look for the collection box in the narthex to drop off your donation. The major need are sizes 4, 5, and 6.
