Important Information

In November 2023, Bishop Johnston announced “The Way: Youth to Young Adult Initiative. “This new policy sets the time for ordinary reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation to be 6th Grade. Father Don Farnan and our parish leadership will be exploring ways to work with St. James and St. Therese Little Flower, and Visitation to implement this new policy. Food pantry

Our food pantry has many needs

We continue to serve more neighbors than ever, the families are larger, and it’s harder and more expensive to get things from Harvesters. We currently need:

· Canned pineapple

· Diced tomatoes

· Side dishes (like pasta roni)

· Ramen noodles

· Instant mashed potatoes

· Bar soap

· Deodorant

· Tampons and pads

It’s most helpful to us if you buy a lot of one or two items rather than a few of everything. Your generosity is so greatly appreciated!

MIGRANT FARMWORKERS

Help with supplies

Migrant Farmworkers will arrive in late July. Unfortunately, the peach crop was destroyed by a winter freeze, but the apples are ripening, and 500 pickers and their families are scheduled to arrive to harvest acres of apples in Lafayette County in late July. The Migrant Farmworkers Assistance Fund relies on our generosity to help the farmworkers while they are here.

They are asking for:

· pinto beans (If you shop Walmart you can get 20# for $14.94),

· t-shirts (med) and (large); new, or good and clean (sorted and marked with sizes)

· socks - high top work socks
