International Migrants Day

Saturday-Sunday
December 14-15

The SFX community will celebrate International Migrants Day during the weekend Masses, December 14-15, 2024. International Migrants Day was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2000. The actual date for observance is December 18th. Join us as we celebrate the positive impact and the important contributions of migrants workers. Less than an hour from Kansas City (Lexington), between 200-270 migrant workers pick apples and pleaches for our enjoyment each year. We are grateful to them and pray they will continue being a part of our community.

Advent Outing to the

Nelson-Atkins

Sunday, December 15
Tour at 1:00 pm

Come and join fellow SFXers for a visit to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. A docent-led tour will reflect on the Advent theme of:

"The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; upon those who lived in a land of gloom a light has shone."

(Isaiah 10:1)

The art tour will be about our response to light, darkness, and our own spirituality. Please join us for this wonderful afternoon as part of your preparation for Christmas.

For those who want, we will gather for lunch at the Rozelle Court at 12:00 pm. The tour will start at 1:00 pm. Carpooling can be arranged for those who desire it.
